Guided visit for grades 4 to 6
From prehistory to today, history is divided into time periods—but how do we define them? Where does one begin and the other end? During this interactive visit, students explore the museum galleries searching for objects to place on a timeline. Through searching, reasoning, and organizing, they discover how history is broken into periods, what defines each one, and how human behaviour has evolved. The focus is on the history of present-day Belgium and its immediate surroundings. To keep the experience engaging, students will explore three successive periods per visit, for example:
