Does history class feel a bit dry? Not at the Art & History Museum! A guide and four Latin-speaking virtual Romans will introduce students to daily life in Ancient Rome. The model of Rome serves as the perfect starting point to place the museum’s objects in context. Through luxurious mosaics from Apamea (Syria), a fresco from Pompeii, bronze and marble depictions of emperors and gods, gravestones, and functional objects, students explore the lives of powerful and ordinary citizens, while gaining insight into the art and culture of this vast empire.
