Life along the Nile
ATELIER+ for grades 1 to 3

Everyone ready? Hop on the boat! Together we will take a magical journey along the banks of the Nile. Come cosily closer, so you can hear the stories the objects have to tell! We meet hippos and baboons, fish and lions. We see fishing families at work and wave to farmers watering plants in the fields. With some luck, even Pharaoh's pleasure boat passes by!
By watching, playing and drawing, the museum objects come back to life. In groups, your pupils create large Nile landscapes on paper by making pictures, cutting out, tearing , arranging and gluing. This way, a whole new museum story is created!
Here and the hereafter
ATELIER+ for grades 4 to 6

The ancient Egyptians cherished life so much that they sought to preserve it even after death. Tombs were decorated with vivid paintings of fields, orchards, and feasts. Bodies were mummified, placed in beautifully adorned coffins, and accompanied by canopic jars, charms, and spells to ensure a comfortable afterlife.
During this workshop, students will explore museum artifacts, searching for the most remarkable examples of ancient Egyptian burial objects. They will then design and sculpt their own miniature replicas using self-drying clay—scarabs, amulets, sarcophagi, or hieroglyphic stelae—becoming the artists of their own ancient world.
