The objects enter into dialogue with the works of Sara Sallam, an artist who explores the contemporary Egyptian cultural identity and questions the history and meaning of Egyptology.

Together with the visitors, the artists of BARRA Movement shine a light upon the passions and the stories and rumours behind the bas relief of the human passions in the Horta’s Pavillon. With words, stories, stones and song they make the marble bas relief resonate in unexpected ways.

Please note that this activity has been specially designed for visitors as an artistic performance within the framework of the Nocturnes. This is not a classic guided tour of the pavilion.

A project of Horizon 50/200 in collaboration with the Museum of Art & History and with the support of the National Lottery.
