Museum Night Fever

During Museum Night Fever, artists are given carte blanche in the exhibitions and collections of the Brussels Museums.

From 19.00 to 01.00, artists and musicians will shake up the museum galleries with performances, concerts, DJ-sets, tours and all sorts of unique activities. From 01:00, the party continues in C12, under Brussels Central Station: expect an unforgettable afterparty!

In short, an extraordinary museum night! One to experience, enjoy and talk about for a long time afterwards. And above all, an ideal opportunity for those still hesitant about museums (meh, museums are not my cup of tea).

Programme @Museum A&H

Explore the exhibition Shin hanga, the new prints of Japan by night! A fascinating selection of some 220 Japanese prints shows what the shin hanga movement means within Japanese printmaking: a new aesthetic, stunning technique and recognisable themes such as landscapes, flowers and birds, women's portraits and kabuki actors.

Moku hanga experts Vladimir Ivaneanu and Soetkin Everaert demonstrate the Japanese woodblock printing technique in its exceptional subtlety. Walk-in demos start at 19:30 & 21:00 & 22:30, each taking about one hour.

Japanese percussionist Tsubasa Hori performs a taïko solo performance. Her music connects traditional Japanese percussion with contemporary experimental music. Performance at 19:00 & 20:30 & 22:00, each lasting about 20min.

Eccentric Belgian-Japanese duo Alek et les Japonaises close the evening. Get ready for an extraordinary finale with Alex and Maï Ogawa’s "electropic" set! Concert from 23:30 to 00:30.

Price: € 14 (presale) / 18 (tickets on the night) + € 10 for the afterparty
