Guided visit for grades 1 to 3

Settle in with your students in front of the shadow theatre and listen to the metallic sounds of the gamelan. Now the mood is set for a journey through Southeast Asia! Frogs on a bronze drum, roosters inside houses, oxen on rooftops—the people in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Indonesia sure love hiding animals everywhere.
Are these creatures hard to find? Not at all! With the help of a guide, we will spot them. We’ll crawl, jump, squirm, and climb (just kidding!) through the museum galleries, uncovering the hidden animals and their stories along the way.
Guided visit for grades 4 to 6

Explore the vibrant cultures of Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia. These countries share many things in common! Consider, for instance, the climate: a dry, a hot and a wet season are ideal weather for growing rice. Find out how to grow rice and, what’s more, how to prepare it. Imagine coming home in the evening and cosying up in the community house, listening to the cattle shuffling about in the stable below you. Learn about rice farming, stilt houses, and the evening shadow puppet theatre, where tales of Prince Rama and Hanuman the Monkey King come to life. Listen to the gamelan orchestra and discover the unique traditions of Southeast Asia – and don’t forget your smile!
