Guided visit for grades 1 to 3

Cross the North American continent from north to south with your students and follow in the footsteps of its original inhabitants. The children will finally get answers to questions that have surely been on their minds for a long time! Such as: how do you make an igloo cozy? Which animals hide in Canada’s dense forests? What is the purpose of a totem pole? How do you catch a bison? What toys did children play with in the past? Through storytelling, hands-on objects, games, and drawing activities, your pupils will discover the rich cultures and landscapes of North America.
Guided visit for grades 4 to 6

Picture a vast grassy plain, a tipi village, and a herd of bison—but was Indigenous life really as we imagine it to be? Uncover the myths and realities of First Nations cultures – from a European perspective as well as through the eyes of the Indigenous peoples. Learn how climate shaped a specific way of life, from Inuit kayaks and warm coats made of seal fur in the Arctic to colourful totem poles on the North West Coast (not on the prairies!) and Pueblo cliff dwellings in the sweltering South. Listen to animal legends, practice Plains sign language, and decode the symbols on a totem pole. This visit will change the way students understand North American history!
