Guided visit for grades 1 to 3

tente avec joueur de luth, cavalier et cheval/tent met luitspeler en ruiter met paard/tent with luth player, horse and rider

Let’s begin with a fairy tale—do your pupils know the story of the Three Little Pigs? Those clever piglets, each with their own house: one made of straw, another of wood, and the last of stone? The museum piglets have them all covered! Here, you’ll find houses made from all kinds of materials: clay, wood, felt, and even ice!

Open your eyes and ears wide—through games, stories, and hands-on activities, students will learn how people around the world build their homes and live in them.

Guided visit for grades 4 to 6

Maquette de maison/Maquette van een huis/Model of a house

On the prairie people live in tepees. In the Arctic the Inuit live in igloos and in Indonesia, you can spot houses on long stilts! Rich Roman lived in villa’s and me, I live in a house made of bricks. Where you live shapes your home and how you live. During this guided visit, students will explore different architectural styles, examine materials, and imagine what daily life might be like inside these unique homes.
