Masterclass : Collage, paper & Co.

Pablo Picasso did it. Roy Lichtenstein did it. Sara Sallam does it. You've probably done it too: make a collage! For two days, leave all worries aside and surrender to the pleasure of creating, assembling, choosing and reflecting (and not necessarily in that order).

The starting point is the work of Egyptian contemporary artist Sara Sallam currently on display at the exhibition Expedition Egypt. Her photo and video collages provoke reflection on cultural identity, the role of history and the place the individual can occupy in it. Guided by two creative museum professionals, you will visit the exhibition and the museum galleries. In the museum studio we will explore the creative possibilities of paper, guided by inspiring examples and challenging materials.

No artist skills required! By taking the time to look at and explore the artworks together, ideas and  creativity will automatically follow.
