Due to water flooding in 2024 and damage to the interior, this gallery is temporarily closed. Preciosa refers to small precious objects, fashionable in Europe from the 18th century onwards, which adorned the daily lives of the wealthy and powerful.

Small precious objects

The Preciosa collection presents a unique selection of fans dating from the 17th to the 19th century, as well as some jewelry, including very rare hairpieces. The watches and watch accessories include pieces unique in Europe, both aesthetically and technically. The section devoted to glasses and optical accessories demonstrates that, even in this field, luxury production was shaped by the dictates of fashion from an early period. In the room, visitors can also admire dance cards, snuff boxes, hip flasks, and various kits.
