Greeks or Romans? Or both! It gets really exciting when you hear the stories from your guide about the Greek black- and red-figure vases: the heroic deeds of Herakles, the golden apple, and Paris… Did the Greeks really eat lying down, and what did they drink from those bowls? People, gods, and heroes take center stage on Greek pottery. You will discover the mythological stories as well as daily life: homes, school, eating and drinking, sports, and celebrations. Roman tombstones and sarcophagi tell the story of farewells to the deceased. A bronze emperor, a painted fresco, a marble floor mosaic… Students will be amazed by the fascinating world of Classical Antiquity.

Learn everything about Greek vases: the different types, their uses, and how they were made and decorated. Understand how Greek craftsmen painted figures on red- or black-figure backgrounds by working with colored paper: drawing, cutting, and gluing.
